Korah’s Butterfly
Allyson’s passion for helping others continued as she delved into the world of publishing to share her wisdom and experience. The creative product that emerged from this experience was her children’s book on grief, “Korah’s Butterfly.” Only the beginning of a planned series, this book brings messages of healing and guidance for children through traumatic loss. In a bid to spread her knowledge and help others in need, Allyson took to the roads and travelled across Canada, speaking about the book and its message.

Lessons from Behind the Glass
This devoted, married mother of two has spent more than her fair share of cold days and nights behind the glass, cheering on her son in the hockey rink. To assume the role of “Hockey Mom,” she took on a whole new view of the world as she navigated the ins and outs of recreational sports with her family. From this learning curve, she put pen to paper and crafted her riveting book, “Lessons from Behind the Glass”. The messages of this book resonated so profoundly with others in the community, she’s already sold over 5,000 copies of it. Allyson partnered with her son Brock and Hockey Northern Ontario and BC Hockey to create two video series based on her book to assist parents in navigating the hockey world. She travelled across Canada, partnering with both the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators to get her message across.
