After the loss of a loved one, along with a broken heart, complications arise with family and friends who don’t understand your grief. Whether you choose one on one or group counselling sessions, Allyson will help you to move from grieving the loss of your loved one to honouring their life in a healthy and positive way. Most importantly, she will help you to move from surviving to thriving.
Allyson offers counselling to individuals 18 years and older, who have experienced loss. During one on one or group bereavement sessions, she will help you begin to understand and learn to manage the symptoms of grief. You will have a safe place to share your experiences and explore the challenges you are facing. These sessions will offer you a chance to share your story of grief from your perspective in a non-judgemental and confidential environment.
After years of working with the bereaved and experiencing her own losses, Allyson understands the confusion that comes with losing a loved one. She will work with you to explore strategies to help you deal with all that comes with mourning the loss of a loved one. Allyson will also help you discover tools and identify coping skills to manage day to day life, holidays and anniversaries without the ones you love.
Grief is not intended to be cured but with the support of a trained professional like Allyson, you can survive your grief and flourish in your life in honour of those lost.
